Antique 1860s ivory lightweight cotton petticoat for an antique doll. It is hand embroidered ala broderie Anglaise with hand made bobbin lace trim at the bottom. There are hand embroidered dots all over the entire petticoat. It is completely hand sewn. It is over 160 years old and has oxidation and coloring imperfections associated with age. It is used and in good wearable condition. Measurements are shown in the pictures. It buttons at back with a tiny shell button and hand-made button hole. It fits about a 6” to 6.5” waist. Doll sizes and measurements vary greatly so your best bet is to go by measurements. However, it seems that this might fit between a 16” to 20” doll depending on her measurements. They do not seem to be any rips or weakness in the fabric, but please bear in mind it’s age and treat it with care.
