☆ Shogi Piece Wood Blanks ☆

These are large shogi piece wood blanks, shaped from high-quality, straight-grained Chinese boxwood from old trees.

We have carefully selected the finest straight-grained wood and assembled them into a set. These are the highest class among regular wood blanks, suitable for premium shogi pieces.

The main feature of these wood blanks is that when 20 pawns are lined up horizontally, they form a perfect 360° circle, a sign of a good piece, ensuring the high precision of the pieces. (See the 5th image for reference)

The polishing marks are not noticeable, resulting in a beautiful finish. You can immediately apply the character paper by lightly sanding with a 500-grit sandpaper.

They will be delivered in the flat box case shown in the image.

If any pieces are suspected to be defective during inspection before shipping, they will be replaced with good ones.

In the unlikely event that hidden cracks are found, we will exchange or replace them, but the response will be limited to within two weeks after the transaction is completed, as per Mercari's message disclosure policy. Please note that extremely small stains that can be seen with a magnifying glass may be included. Also, we cannot accept exchanges for issues related to the wood grain.
